Competition increases in Nairobi to Mombasa direct flights business as another low cost carrier, Silverstone Air is scheduled to start early daily morning flights beginning August 31 that is expected to largely boost travel deals and business between Kenya’s top city destinations.
The industry players and stakeholders at the Kenyan coast had challenged the local budget airlines to consider introducing early morning budget and pocket friendly flights to attract travelers who may want to conduct their businesses in Nairobi or Mombasa and most conveniently return back same day.
Silverstone Air Sales Manager, Patrick Oketch confirmed to Twende Safari that they made their decision to introduce this route based on customer demands. The airline operates daily direct flights to Diani in Mombasa South Coast, Malindi, Lamu, Kisumu and Lodwar from Nairobi. Silverstone made her historic entry into Africa’s Leading National Reserve, the Masai Mara early July with a view of providing unmatched quality and highly competitive travel products in the airline industry.
The daily morning flights will be available from Wilson Airport in Nairobi and Moi International Airport in Mombasa respectively at a budget cost of KSh4600 one way inclusive of airport tax, Twende Safari learnt.
Further, Silverstone Air Sales Manager said that the ambitious airline will be operating a Fokker 50 aircraft to serve her high demanding customers as it prepares to add in her fleet a Dash 8-300 aircraft from Canada to boost efficiency, comfort and reliability.
